Subject: Rather mediocre, interesting only as an opinion

The first noticeable issue concerning this document is that the author's journalistic style and somewhat hyperbolic similes soon get fairly tiring. However,

the book is generally curious; the author interprets Italian Fascism as an economically liberal or even libertarian tendency that perhaps should be replicated in the United States in order to challenge the Progressive movement. He likewise brings up scenes from the early days of fascism often overlooked by present-day literature, like the abolition of the Guardie Regie and certain conflicts between Neapolitan fascist dignitaries. The appraisal of the then-nascent National Socialism is remarkable only by its early date of publication (even before the Beer Hall Putsch). Yet such an analysis was shown to be patently wrong quite soon afterwards, when Mussolini outlined the project of the Corporate State and resumed government intervention in economic matters, so this book remains merely a historiographical curiosity.
